Overview
The Aqua Easy Gauge takes the guess work out of how long to water your landscape.
This is an excellent and inexpensive method that allows homeowners, landscapers, contractors and others to determine the ideal year round run-time setting for their irrigation systems. They can be used to determine and quantify water distribution uniformity.
Each gauge is marked with inches on one side indicating the amount of water applied.
Precipitation rate (how much water is applied in one hour) is calculated by dividing the amount of water collected in the cup(s) by the portion of an hour you watered. Ten minutes or less of collection time will provide an accurate rate (may depend on water droplet size and wind) because the gauge is tapered for accuracy at small depths (ten minutes = 0.16 hours).
